Head of the Vietnam Administration of Medical Services Dr. Luong Ngoc Khue said that many big hospitals have recently reported security disorder. More than half of the cases were attacks towards doctors and nurses. Nearly 90 percent of violence erupted when physicians were providing emergency treatment and taking care of patients.
Violences in hospitals were due to lack of understanding the hospital system, poor communication between patients and doctors and expectations gaps.
