Patient transferred urgently from Truong Sa Island to HCMC saved

The Military Hospital 175 has been performing emergency treatment for a patient suffering from cerebral hemorrhage since June 13. The patient, a fisherman named H.H. (born in 1963 in Binh Dinh Province), had been transferred from Truong Sa Island of Khanh Hoa Province to the mainland for treatment.

On June 19, while doing his job of catching fish on the sea, fisherman H. suddenly felt severely painful in his head and dizzy. He was quickly moved to the Medical Center of Truong Sa Island District for emergency treatment.

After an online consultation via Telemedicine between Truong Sa Medical Center and the Military Hospital 175, doctors preliminarily identified that he was suffering from cerebral hemorrhage. Since his life was in danger, he was transferred to the mainland for more professional treatment.

At 2:30pm of June 13, the helicopter having the first aid team of the Military Hospital 175 and the pilot team of the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company headed towards Truong Sa Island. Despite adverse weather, they were able to move the patient safely to the Military Hospital 175 for further medical examination.

At the moment, the patient is being kept under continuous observation.
