A delegation of HCMC's leaders and officials led by Rear Admiral Luong Viet Hung, Deputy Commander of the Vietnam People's Navy, and Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of HCMC Nguyen Ho Hai on May 11 paid a visit to soldiers and people on the Truong Sa archipelago and troops stationed on DK1 platform.
A 41-year-old fisherman in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago needed to be airlifted to a Ho Chi Minh City-based hospital because he suffered stroke, said the Military Hospital 175 under the Ministry of Defense yesterday.
The Military Hospital 175 has been performing emergency treatment for a patient suffering from cerebral hemorrhage since June 13. The patient, a fisherman named H.H. (born in 1963 in Binh Dinh Province), had been transferred from Truong Sa Island of Khanh Hoa Province to the mainland for treatment.
