A joint nutrition project was launched on October 11 by the Department of Education and Training, the Nutrition Center and the Ajinomoto Vietnam Company for the benefit of day-care primary school children in Ho Chi Minh City.

The three organizations decided to launch the nutrition project that would help design standard menus for primary school students, improve current diet, and raise parents’ knowledge of a good wholesome diet.
The project will also focus on raising students’ physical growth and fitness.
The project comprises of three main contents that include building of a healthy and balanced diet, cultivating awareness in young students of the importance of a good diet, standardizing kitchen and meal areas in Japanese style.
Menu planning has already been experimented in some day-care centers in the city and the project expects to spread in facilities in Hanoi, Da Nang City in Central Vietnam and neighboring provinces.
