The prices bring breeders VND5,000-7,000 a kilogram in profit, forecast to keep high in coming days as export has been advantageous while the fish supply in the delta has not much increased.
Vietnam Association of Seaport Exporters and Producers reported that the country’s seafood export turnover topped US$8.3 billion last year, up 19 percent over 2016 and the highest ever so far. Of these, pangasius fish export approximated $1.8 billion.
In 2018 plan, the country strives for $8.5 billion seafood export turnover.
