Kids’ vaccines available again in HCMC

Two Ho Chi Minh City hospitals have said they have vaccines against chicken pox and measles-mumps-rubella.

The Children’s Hospital No.2 and the Center for Preventive Medicine said May 12 that people should bring their children to them for vaccination.

Following severe outbreaks of some of these diseases, people flocked to clinics and hospitals in HCMC, which have however been short of the vaccines for a long time.

The city Department of Health said the same day that it would form four teams to monitor dengue fever and hand-foot-mouth disease which are plaguing the city.

It has also distributed disinfectants to kindergartens and day care centers to improve hygiene.
