Hanoi to cut land rent

The Hanoi City People’s Council will consider land rent reduction in a resolution on key missions for socioeconomic development in the rest six months this year, which was passed at the council’s 10th session on July 9.

According to the resolution, the council will create conditions for businesses to reduce costs, continue assist the market, clear stocks and boost credit growth for production and trading.

Economic growth must reach 9.8-10.9 percent in the rest six months so that Hanoi can obtain its target of 8.5-9 percent economic growth rate this year.

The rate reached 7.4 percent in the first six months, a reduction of 0.27 percent over the same period last year.
