According to the management board, 150 domestic and foreign businesses have joined in this event with more than 500 booths.

With the theme “Vietnamese Forest Product, Integration and Sustainable Development”, the three-day festival will include a variety of activities such as trade promotions, fairs, seminars, competitions and art performances.

The event will also affirm the continuous development of the Vietnamese forest product industry and open a new door for national integration and development.

As of now, there are 2,500 wood processing enterprises, of which 970 enterprises are processing wood for export and 400 are foreign direct investment enterprises.

Vietnam earned US$3.5 billion from timber and wood product exports in 2010, an increase by 10 times compared to the last ten years. This sector plans to earn $4 billion in 2011.
