The Ministry of agriculture & rural development’s working delegation led by deputy minister Vu Van Tam had the meeting on June 2 with the people’s committee of the central province of Khanh Hoa, aiming to launch the first fisheries center in Khanh Hoa.
Accordingly, the Khanh Hoa fisheries center will cover 40 hectares at Da Bac port in Cam Ranh city of Khanh Hoa province.
The Ministry said the Khanh Hoa fisheries center is given the priority to be the first one among 5 localities approved by the government at the ministry’s plan for buidling five fisheries centers nationwide in the 2015 -2020 period.
The Khanh Hoa center will work with south-central provinces and Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands to improve the quality and value of fish and other aquatic species.
The project has a total capital of VND 1,564billion and is divided two stages. The first stage is planned to start construction in the 2016-2017 and the second phase will be in 2017-2018.
