The Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) on August 9 increased the price of petrol by VND410-450 per liter.

With the adjustment, retail prices at all Petrolimex distributors nationwide will be VND16,400 – 16,440 per liter for A92 and VND16,900 per liter for A95.
The prices of kerosene and diesel have increased by VND300 and VND400 per liter to VND15,100 and VND14,700, respectively.
Meanwhile, the wholesale price of fuel oil dropped by VND310 per liter, to between VND12,690 to VND12,990 a liter.
According to Dang Vinh Sang, general director of Saigon Petrol, as of 7:30 on August 9, the company increased petrol prices by VND450 per liter for A92.
The price of global crude oil soared sharply yesterday to US$81.77 per barrel.
