Thirty seven riot-hit foreign companies are going to receive VND286 billion (US$13.47 million) in financial assistance from the People’s Committee in the southern province of Binh Duong.

On June 18, Binh Duong announced the first financial and policies assistances to riot-hit firms, said Tran Van Nam, deputy chairman of the province.
The province authorizes violence-hit companies to rebuild damaged workshops without construction license, besides the province continues offering help them to build new works with priority policies.
Tax payment deadline is extended by two years without any penalties on slow payment cases. The province will refund value added tax, reduce special consumption tax and rent based on the damage.
Customs agencies exempt or reduce tariffs on devices and equipment imported to repair damaged ones.
