An art performance themed ‘Join Hands for Agent Orange Victims’ was held in Hanoi on August 10 to mark the 51st anniversary of the Agent Orange/Dioxin disaster in Vietnam.

The event was organized by the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA), and Vietnam Television.
Audiences had a chance to meet many young and old victims of Agent Orange who have overcome pain and severe disabilities to live a better and fruitful life.
Also present on the occasion was Len Aldis, Secretary General of Britain-Vietnam Friendship Society that has made active contributions to encouraging the public and the world to support the struggle of Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange.
In addition, professor and People’s Teacher Phuong Luu donated a cash prize of VND200 million for the Ho Chi Minh Award for Agent Orange victims.
In related news, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Agent Orange/Dioxin disaster in Vietnam, many organizations and charity groups visited and offered gifts to Agent Orange victims in the central coastal city of Da Nang.
Da Nang City is at present home to more than 5,000 Agent Orange victims, of whom 1,400 are children.
