Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam via a live link-up TV program congratulated the Vietnam's largest mobile network operator to complete the whole 4G network’s infrastructure in only six months.

He hoped that Viettel and other network operators will deploy 4G services successfully to strengthen the social-economic development of the country, especially in the 4th industrial revolution of the country.

Viettel has not only brought 4G services to the urban areas, but also rural and remote areas. The group has completed the installation of more than 36,000 4G BTS stations nationwide, providing services to 95 percent of the country's population, including 3,000 stations in 322 communes in 24 districts in Ho Chi Minh City. It makes Viettel to become the world’s first network operator bringing 4G services to the all of Vietam.

4G is the fourth generation mobile communications technology which can transfer data with a maximum speed of up to 1-1.5 Gb/s, hundreds of times faster than 3G. Viettel is using 4TX/4RX beamforming technique, which is by far better than the popular current 2TX/2RX technique in providing 4G services.
