Chairwoman of the HCMC People’s Council Nguyen Thi Le on September 16 chaired a working session on the implementation of Resolution No.131/2020/QH14 (NQ131) on organizing urban administration in HCMC with the People’s Committee of Tan Binh District.
The localities of Tan Binh District in Ho Chi Minh City are suggested to adjust planning around Tan Son Nhat Airport to better serve passengers using this hub for a more sustainable development. This is the proposal of economic and urban planning experts in the conference ‘Direction for Planning and Urban Management in Local Level in Accordance with International Airport Model’, recently held by the HCMC Department of Planning and Architecture.
Tan Binh District needs to gradually adjust preventive measures and maintain achievements in the fight against Covid-19, especially building plans for socioeconomic recovery and help businesses affected by the pandemic approach the capital and labor source.
The Covid-19 pandemic in Can Gio District is under control so the locality has piloted re-opening of some activities from September 16. The number of households agreeing to receiving financial assistance and moving out from the 4.8 hectare vegetable garden in Ward 6, Tan Binh district, HCMC, for construction of a public school complex increased to 90 out of 124 households farming in the garden on January 24.
Ward 6 in HCMC’s Tan Binh District has contacted 85 out of 124 households in controversial vegetable garden, which has recently been cleared for a public school complex construction, and reached consensus of 82 households, reported chairman of the ward People’s Committee Chau Van La.
The People’s Committee of Ward 6, Tan Binh district, HCMC said that two days ago they provided the financial aid worth of VND17 billions (US$ 740,000) to 18 households who had farmed in the ground area that is called vegetable garden and now is being planned for a school complex.

The People’s Committee of Tan Binh district in HCMC has applied coercive site clearance to about 110 illegal construction works and land encroachment in a 4.8 hectares land plot, called vegetable garden, in Ward 6.
