Seven A/H1N1 cases reported in Ben Tre

Seven cases of A/H1N1 swine flu have been reported at the Giao Thanh primary school in Giao Thach commune of Thanh Phu District in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre.

These seven cases have been quarantined and are being treated at the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City. Another 186 students showing symptoms of the flu are under observation. There are also reports of many people being affected with the flu in the province these days.

On February 26, Le Thanh Nam, Chairman of the Giao Thach commune People’s Committee stated that the provincial health sector and the Pasteur Institute of HCMC were implementing measures to control and isolate the root cause of the disease.
