President visits S Korea on way to APEC talks

Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang begins a three-day visit to South Korea today at the invitation of President Lee Myung Bak and from Thursday will attend the 19th Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Summit in Hawaii at the invitation of the United States President Barack Obama.

The visit to the Republic of Korea and the participation in APEC19 is expected to further strengthen the friendship and strategic partnership between Viet Nam and South Korea as well as prove a manifestation of the foreign affairs policies of the 11th Party Congress with regard to comprehensive and deep international integration, which contributes to the peace, co-operation and development in the Asia-Pacific Region.
