No serious reactions from child vaccinations in HCMC

Since November 11, about 20 percent children in Ho Chi Minh City have been vaccinated with the made-in-Korea vaccine Quinvaxem, after the vaccine was once again re-used after being suspended earlier due to post-vaccination reactions in children, said Dr. Nguyen Dac Tho, Deputy Chief of the Preventive Medicine Department in HCMC.

Dr. Tho said that only a few babies showed abnormal reactions after vaccination, but they were discharged from medical clinics within 24 hours.

Dr. Tho reassured that medical workers will carefully examine and consult before vaccinating children and parents should rest assured in this matter.
