Worse, the main culprit of the disease is unidentifiable but it is likely repeated straining while having a bowel movement in which patients have to suffer in a long time before going to hospitals.
This results in the pooling of blood and enlargement of the vessels in that area.
According to Professor Hung, the disease is often caused by severe cases of constipation or diarrhea. If your parents have had hemorrhoids, you may be more likely to have them as well. Hemorrhoids may also be caused by pregnancy.
Regarding the question that hemorrhoids can develop into cancer, Professor Hung affirmed that no relation between hemorrhoids and cancer has been found. The best treatment is prevention. A diet high in fiber and bulk can prevent constipation. Moreover, patients should go to medical clinics soon when they discover the disease.
