Zuellig Pharma Vietnam has recently introduced a sophisticated new packaging solution – the eZCooler – that ensures the integrity of temperature-sensitive products to the last mile of transportation and how to use it.
Right after the US$600,000 project to expand access to vaccines in Vietnam, especially rural areas, through the use of the eZCooler -- an innovative temperature-controlled packaging technology – was approved by the Ministry of Health in February, 2019 to ensure the integrity of temperature-sensitive products to the last mile of transportation, the pharmaceutical company has trained medical workers to use the new device.
The first training was officially launched in partnership between Zuellig Pharma, the National Institute for Control of Vaccines and Biologicals (NICVB) in the northern province of Bac Ninh with 40 attendees from local medical centers.
176 medical workers will take part in the training course. After the training course wraps up, Zuellig Pharma will present 623 packs of eZCooler to provinces as its pledge.
Medical workers were trained how to arrange vaccine in eZCooler rightly as well as how to monitor temperature devices when accessing to local health centers in remote areas, changes in temperature through different seasons and regions and limited transport systems in areas that are geographically difficult to reach, such as remote, mountainous and island areas.
As planned, the pharmaceutical company will continue training for medical workers from six northern provinces of Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Son La, and Yen Bai from December 5 to 18.
The eZCooler is Zuellig Pharma’s innovative packaging solution, which ensures the integrity of the product quality in the supply chain through the critical last stages of delivery. It has helped increase access to healthcare across Asia, especially in very remote or rural areas.
It is reportedly that Zuellig Pharma has provided eZCooler to Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.
