Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung had a meeting with outstanding young scientists nationwide at head office of Ministry of Science and Technology in Hanoi on September 11.
Attending at the meeting were leaders and representatives of ministries, departments and local agencies, crowded domestic and foreign scientists, and 67 outstanding young scientists nationwide in the fields of science and technology, natural science, social sciences and humanities, agricultural and medical science.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan affirmed that the scientists are young individuals with the best achievements and great contributions in science and technology sector.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also appreciated achievements as well as projects designed by the individuals, and expressed his desire they will continue to pursue their aspiration and contribute further for the country’s development.
The PM asked Party, State, the Ministry of Science and Technology, relevant agencies, institutes, universities and enterprises to issue effective mechanisms and policies to foster young scientists’ creativity and encourage them in studying, researching and developing science and technology industry.
In the previous years, they have contributed actively for the country’s development and protection, improving the country's role and position all over the world.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung approved the Government will continue supporting expenses to offer glasses for the blind. The project was created by Prof. Nguyen Ba Hai from HCMC University of Technology and Education.
