As per the Department of Customs, in the first seven months of the year, two-way trade revenue reached nearly $8.3 billion. Of the amount, Vietnam earned around $2.6 billion while Thailand was over $5.6 billion.
There has been a rise in some Thai items such as vegetables, petrol, chemicals, machines, car accessories, computer sets and electronic products.
Especially, Thailand sold 21.8 cars to Vietnam accounting for 38 percent of total exporting cars into the Southeast Asian country in the first seven months.
Statistically, Thailand is the fifth supplier for Vietnam after China, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan (China).
