Petrol prices soar second time in April

The prices of fuel in Vietnam increased for two consecutive times in April as of 3 p.m. on April 17 as, globally, average price of finished products of petroleum has climbed by 2-3 percent per barrel in the last 15 days.
Particularly, the price of biofuel E5 RON92 rose by VND1,115 per liter to VND19,703 per liter. The price of RON95-III gasoline saw an increase of VND1,202 per liter to VND21,235 per liter. The price of diesel oil 0.05S and kerosene surged VND297 per liter and VND291 per liter to VND17,384 per liter and VND16,262 per liter respectively. The price of mazut oil edged up VND407 per kilogram to VND15,617 per kilogram.

Allocations for the fuel price stabilization fund were also adjusted, reducing by around VND560 per liter compared to the previous adjustment.

Accordingly, fuel outlets were allowed to tap VND1,456 per liter for each liter of E5 RON92 gasoline, VND743 per liter for RON95-III gasoline and VND0 per kilogram for mazut oil.
