Specifically, the city will buy 111,707 health insurance cards for households with average income ranging from VND21 million to VND28 million a person a year and near-poor households.
Additionally, the remaining money of VND41.9 billion in the city’s Health Insurance Fund will be used for buying medical equipment in hospitals including Children Hospital No.1 and 2, People’s Hospital 115, Trung Vuong Hospital and Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital. Bidding is mandatory for buying equipment.
At a meeting between the city People’s Committee and relevant agencies before, the remaining money of the city’s Health Insurance Fund in 2017 was reported to be VND335.5 billion and the city is entitled to keep 20 percent of the amount, equivalent to VND67 billion.
According to regulations, the total remaining money must be used before December 29, 2019. In case of not being used up, the amount must be given to the Vietnam Social Insurance Agency.
