The HCMC-Champasak Trade and Tourism Promotion Exhibition and Conference was inaugurated in Champasak Province in Laos on July 23 by the Investment and Trade Promotion Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
Thai Van Re, Director of the Department for Investment and Planning in HCMC said that the Trade and Tourism Promotion Exhibition and Conference is among the activities to boost economic cooperation between the two countries.
HCMC has been eager to step up investments in Laos and Champasak Province, however so far no Lao enterprise has come forward to invest in HCMC.
The Exhibition will help businesses in Laos to find investment opportunities in HCMC. The City is willing to create the most conducive conditions to welcome them.
The Exhibition and Conference has attracted more than 100 Vietnamese and Lao enterprises who will display and introduce their products.
Vietnamese companies will showcase products from various fields including processed food, household plastic items, electric appliances, construction materials and agricultural products.
