Fruit export revenue reaches US$2.178 bln

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development yesterday announced fruit export value reached US$186 million in November only, bringing total export turnover to US$2.178 billion in 11 months.

In 10 months of the year, total revenue of fruit export was US$1.99 billion, an increase of 30.5 percent compared to same period last year.

Major markets of Vietnamese fruits are China with 70.4 percent, South Korea with 3.6 percent, the US with 3.4 percent and Japan with 3.1 percent.

Meantime, fruit import turnover in 11 months was US$814 million, up 44 percent compared to same period last year.

Most of imported fruits come from Thailand with 44 percent, China with 23 percent.
