According to an announcement from the ministry yesterday, the fair will be the first seafood fair hosted by the ministry in Hanoi to advertise Pangasius fish, boost local consumption and promote international market expansion with the focus on the Chinese market.
Mr. Tran Dinh Luan, deputy head of the Directories of Fisheries, said that besides traditional markets US and EU, Pangasisus fish companies want to exploit potential northern and Chinese markets.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has also paid heed to these two markets.
