Hung briefed board members of the local socio-economic development this year, and hailed active contributions of Hoa Hao Buddhist followers, especially in social and charity activities such as building houses and presenting notebooks, bicycles and insurance to the poor; providing meals for hospitals and schools; and joining in environment protection and climate change response.
He wished the board, dignitaries and followers would continue the tradition of great national unity, apply technological advances in production, actively join campaigns launched by the VFF such as “All people stay united to build new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas”, and the “Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods”.
Hung hoped that they will also join in environment protection and climate change response, contribute to food safety and hygiene as well as traffic safety, and step up social welfare services, towards successfully accomplishing socio-economic development tasks for 2019 and the following years.
Nguyen Tan Dat, head of the board, pledged to instruct followers to abide by the Party and State’s policies and guidelines, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
