HCMC offers financial aid to students in first semester

The People’s Committee of HCMC on November 2 sent an urgent dispatch to the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Finance and the People’s Committees of Thu Duc City and 21 districts across the city to implement a financial aid worth VND427 billion (US$18.7 million) for students in the city in the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year.

HCMC supports unemployed citizens to promptly find new jobs

Many workers have unexpectedly lost their own jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to help them overcome their hard time, HCMC Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs have cooperated with HCMC Federation of Labor to offer them suitable work positions immediately, while quickly processing requests for financial aids and unemployment insurance.

The People’s Committee of Ward 6, Tan Binh district, HCMC said that two days ago they provided the financial aid worth of VND17 billions (US$ 740,000) to 18 households who had farmed in the ground area that is called vegetable garden and now is being planned for a school complex.
