In its official statement, the parent company said that some of these leaked information included birthdays, addresses, and sources of income, while transaction details or information were not compromised.
The company's main servers remain safe and protected, it affirmed.
Cebuana Lhuillier said that it had immediately coordinated with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) to investigate the incident, and already implemented safety measures to protect the personal data of its clients.
It also notified all affected clients and provided them guidance on how to further protect their personal information.
