

The application for electronic identification on smart phones (VNeID) has offered users great utilities, including the integration of various kinds of personal information and the ability to help citizens change their ID card or other legal papers. However, this app still encounters many problems that need addressing.
The Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) informed that Decree No.59/2020/ND-CP by the Government has come into effect since October 20, 2022. From now on, people can use their electronic identification account (e-ID account) via the app VNeID to replace their chip-based citizen ID card in administrative procedures and civil transactions.

The Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06 - under the Ministry of Public Security) yesterday reported that so far, via chip-based citizen ID card registration, it has also issued an e-ID account for more than 24,200 people.

This allows owners not to bring along so many personal documents, while creating more convenience for the functional agencies in their checking task.
