After 10-year implementation of the government’s new rural plan, Ho Chi Minh City has no more poor households in these districts implementing the plan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Mekong delta has 1,284 communes implemented the government’s rural plan accounting for 14 percent of the country’s.
Current per capita annual income in Hoc Mon district in Ho Chi Minh City is VND 51.936 million ($2,279), an increase of 18 percent compared to 2014, when the government’s new rural plan started.
