After stalling for three straight days, the interbank dollar exchange rate rose the twelfth time this month, adding up VND20 per dollar to VND20,786 per dollar on October 26.
The rate has advanced 0.68 percent this month, extending this year’s gain to 9.7 percent.
Vietcombank and Vietinbank bought dollars at VND20,971 per dollar and sold at VND20,976 per dollar, an increase of VND21 per dollar over the previous day. Eximbank and ACB purchased the greenback at around VND20,953-20,963 per dollar, and sold at VND20,976 per dollar.
On free market, the dollar exchange rate returned to VND21,800 for selling, and around VND21,730-21,740 for buying.
