Vietnam always creates favorable business conditions for Japanese companies

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday had a meeting with Mr. Yoichi Kobayashi, Chairman of the Japan-Mekong Business Cooperation Committee under the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (JCCI) to discuss on strengthening cooperation and investment in Vietnam.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed JCCI's idea of moving Japanese investment from other countries into Vietnam and the Mekong countries. He also suggested JCCI to maintain surveying investment activities and strengthening cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises in the fields of agriculture, supporting industry, information technology, internet of things (IoT), urban planning, tourism, etc.

The Vietnamese Government pledges to create the most favorable business and investment condition as possible for Japanese corporations and enterprises in the country, the PM said.

On the same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopash, Chief Executive Officer cum President of Thailand’s Siam Cement Group (SCG), which is an investor of the petrochemical complex project in Southern Vietnam. 

Vietnam always respects strengthening strategic partnerships with Thailand. the Prime Minister said.

So Vietnam wants SCG to continue investment in Vietnam as well as contribution to promoting investment projects, including the petrochemical refinery project, ensuring the schedule, efficiency and environmental protection as the group's commitment and compliance with the laws of Vietnam, emphasized PM Phuc.
