The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at VND/US$23,753 on July 24, down VND19 from the last working day of the previous week (July 21).
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,667 VND/USD on November 28, down VND2 from the last working day of previous week (November 25).
Although the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has increased the operating interest rates by 0.5-1 percent from October 25 to reduce the pressure on the USD/VND exchange rate, which has increased sharply over the past time, the US dollar price in commercial banks is listed at the ceiling price of VND24,888 per dollar, within the range of +/-5 percent according to the regulations of the State Bank.
The VND/USD reference exchange rate, on September 20, was increased by VND6 per US dollar by the State Bank of Vietnam compared to the previous day, to be listed at VND23,301 per US dollar. The US dollar price at commercial banks also climbed by VND15-VND30 per US dollar.
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,107 VND/USD on April 18, up VND1 from the last working day of previous week (April 15).
