The Noi Bai International Airport said that massive flights of Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Bamboo Airways and Pacific Airlines into Noi Bai international airport and other airports of the Northern region had to be canceled, postponed and were unable to land on runways throughout last night because of heavy fog and clouds causing poor visibility.
The Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi officially put into operation a disinfection chamber at the airport’s operation centre on March 24 as an effort to curb the spreading of the COVID-19 epidemic.
By the end of March 19, Noi Bai International Aiport received 1,911 arrivals on 26 international flights, including 737 Vietnamese passengers which reduced compared to March 18 with 2,364 arrivals and would be expected to continue decreasing in the next days.

Major airports across the country still have to wait for reparation budgets to be approved while their infrastructures are crumbling day by day. In a few years, these airports would not be able to cater for the numerous new airlines that are entering the industry at a rapid pace.
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has said that passenger long queues at check-in counters, security check area and boarding gates in Noi Bai International Airport will increase in the upcoming time when the port starts upgrading Terminal T1 since July 11th.
