The State Bank of Vietnam raised interbank exchange rate for eleven consecutive times to VND20,748 per dollar on October 21.
Interbank dollar exchange rate has advanced VND120 per dollar, or 0.58 percent, this month. At commercial banks, the ceiling price was at VND20,955, an increase of VND10 per dollar over the previous day.
Most banks sold the greenback at VND20,955. However, buying price was a little different at each bank. BIDV and Sacombank bought dollars at VND20,940; Eximbank at VND20,935; Vietcombank at VND20,950, and ACB at VND20,933.
On black market, the greenback strongly rose. In Hanoi, some foreign currency exchange agencies purchased dollars at VND21,620, and sold at VND21,680, an increase of VND120 per dollar in buying price, and VND130 per dollar in selling price over the previous day.
