HCMC: Supermarkets asked to launch food combos at affordable prices

The Department of Trade and Industry of HCMC has asked supermarkets and supply chains to launch various food combos priced from VND100, 000 (US$4.3) - VND500, 000 (US$22) that are affordable for different households’ demand. The grocery combos are provided by popular supermarket chains at stable prices, said deputy director of the department Nguyen Nguyen Phuong at a press conference held by the HCMC Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on August 25.

HCMC’s leaders visit people, frontline forces in districts

After the kicked-off ceremony of the movement of “Promoting the power of the entire people in fighting against Covid-19” and the launch of a center receiving essential goods to support needy people on August 15, leaders of HCMC paid visits to disadvantaged households hit hard by the pandemic and green zones where are not affected by virus in the city.

Deputy Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai on May 19 led a delegation of the city’s officials to visit and present gifts to officers, soldiers and healthcare workers who are working at Covid-19 monitoring and control stations in Binh Chanh District.
