The National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention said that the natural disasters of tropical heavy rain, flashflood, landslide and tropical- low depression caused 27 dead, 19 missing and 12 injured in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Son La, Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Quang Tri.

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center reported that medium- heavy rains and thunderstorms swept through the northern provinces last night.

The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention reported that the northern mountainous provinces as Yen Bai, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Bac Can and Cao Bang suffered serious damages after the torrential rain, landslide and flashflood had suddenly occurred in the localities yesterday. 

The National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention issued a quick report on the downpour and flashflood in the northern mountainous provinces this morning. 

A flashflood suddenly poured from upstream river to Suoi Voi (Elephant stream) in Loc Tien commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien- Hue yesterday.
