The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City 2022 (ITE HCMC 2022) opened on the afternoon of September 9 to welcome people and tourists to visit and buy tours. The event is considered to have a strong attraction and is a bright spot for tourism promotion in HCMC in particular and Vietnam, in general, to international friends.
Some travel businesses, on August 22, said that tours for the upcoming National Day holiday were almost full. Customers booking package tours increased significantly, including destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and many other localities, such as Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Da Lat.
Over 20 hotels in Ho Chi Minh City have offered free accommodation and meals to medical workers involving in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, with about 50,000 room nights, reported the municipal Tourism Department on July 19.

The General Statistics Office of Vietnam reported that the number of foreign visitors to the country in April merely reached 26,200 arrivals, down 94.2 percent compared to the previous month and down 98.2 percent year-on-year, due to the Prime Minister’s direction on the temporary suspension of visa issuance for foreign visitors entering the country.
