The prices of grades 4, 8, and 11 textbooks are 4-6 percent lower than those of grades 3, 7, and 10 from the previous academic year, according to the VEPH.
According to a report on providing textbooks to students after the 2022-2023 new school year made by the HCMC Department of Education and Training, the department directed educational facilities to check and set up a plan on supplementing enough textbooks before September 15.
The HCMC Department of Education and Training asked schools to coordinate with publishing houses to ensure the provision of sufficient textbooks to students in the upcoming academic year 2022-2023.
Regarding parents having bumped into difficulties finding textbooks for their children for the new school year, Mr. Le Duy Tan, Head of the Secondary Education Department under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training today asked schools to work with publishers to provide enough textbooks for students for preparation of the new academic year.
Regarding the implementation of Resolution No.88/2014/QH13 and Resolution No.51/2017/QH14 of the National Assembly (NA) on the renovation of general education curricula and textbooks for the NA’s supreme supervisory. Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri in Hanoi reflected that voters are extremely upset about the general education programs because of many inappropriate contents.
The Ministry of Education and Training proposed localities to create favorable conditions for the transportation and supply of textbooks to schools and students to promptly prepare for the new school year 2021-2022.
