Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang yesterday required localities to soon complete the resettlement works and fulfill relevant procedures to promptly start works on 27 projects in 2023.
The People’s Committee of HCMC on August 9 delegated the municipal Department of Transport to prepare the investment project for a section from the Sai Gon River to Thay Cai canal of Ring Road No.4 in the form of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).to accelerate the construction project.
Based on the actual preparation situation and at the request of relevant agencies, the National Assembly decided to delay the submission of five expressway construction projects.
Hanoi City commits that the source of capital to implement the investment construction project of Ring Road No.4 in the Capital Region from the city budget is nearly VND19.48 trillion (US$841 million) for the 2021-2025 period and VND4.05 trillion ($174.77 million) in the 2026-2030 period.
The first phase of the Ring Road No.4 project connecting HCMC with neighboring provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, and Vung Tau is expected to be completed by 2028.
According to the plan, the Ring Road No.3 project of Ho Chi Minh City and Ring Road No.4 project of the Hanoi Capital Region will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and decision on investment policy at the third session of the 15th National Assembly this month. Currently, both Hanoi and HCMC are determined to promote the projects.
The National Assembly's Economic Committee held its sixth plenary session to examine the Government's report on investment policy for the Ring Road No.4 project in the Hanoi Capital Region and Ring Road No.3 project in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of April 28, at the National Assembly House.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh requested that the Ring Road No.3 project in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ring Road No.4 project in the Capital region must complete all procedures to report to the Politburo and submit to the National Assembly before March 20.
