Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung announced that Vietnam's total value for innovative startup investment from 2023 to 2025 is expected to be US$5 billion.
Through the first months of 2022, thanks to the efforts and creativity of start-ups as well as timely support from the Government, the innovative start-up ecosystem in the country has made impressive recovery steps after the Covid-19 pandemic. It is forecast that investment funds will continue to pour capital into Vietnamese startups, and may reach an impressive level of more than US$2 billion in 2022.
Since the beginning of the year, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused many difficulties, but many Vietnamese startups have successfully raised tens of millions of dollars from large investment funds. It is good news for the startup community.
Thirty-three local and international investment funds have committed to pouring US$815 million into innovation start-ups in Vietnam in the 2021-2025 period.
