The issuance of the government’s resolution No. 63/NQ-CP on the key tasks and solutions to promote economic growth, disbursement of public investment, and sustainable exports in the last months of 2021 has shown the Government's determination in achieving the dual goals of fighting against the epidemic and socio-economic development.
To Thi Bich Chau, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, yesterday presented the Standing Committee of the city Party Committee’s gifts to encourage officials and civil servants participating in the battle of the Covid-19 epidemic in Phu Nhuan District’s wards 2 and 15.

Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said that if the city reported more infection cases, the mortality of severely and critically ill Covid-19 patients will increase affecting the quality of treatment. Therefore, the country’s commercial hub strives to reduce fresh infections to reduce mortality rate only by vaccination and strict social distancing.
According to businesses especially foreign-invested facilities, there should be a more flexible mechanism for import of the Covid-19 vaccines. They should not be considered a special product which only a few designated enterprises can import.
Secretary of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Van Nen asked districts' local authorities and functional units to provide information about Covid-19 vaccines to help people become confident in their decision to get vaccinated. People can decide for themselves on Covid-19 vaccine.
