Among traditional ceremonies and festivities in the Central Highlands, the buffalo-stabbing ritual is held vividly.

It is a grand ceremony where a buffalo is tied to a pole and killed to worship the deities and ancestors, or to pray for an abundant crop.

Before the festival, some buffalos are selected for the offering ceremony.
Then, the selected animals are tied to a pole.
In the gong sounds, with shields and swords in hand, the youngsters dance around joyfully.

Then, the performers try to kill the buffalo by one stab in its heart.
