The movie titled “Glorious ashes” directed by Bui Thac Chuyen is the only Vietnamese movie that will compete in the Main Section category at the 2022 Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF).

His film is now eligible to be nominated for the Academy Awards in 2020.
Vietnamese film, Co Ba Sai Gon (Miss Saigon or The Tailor) by directors Tran Buu Loc and Kay Nguyen will compete in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 91st Annual Oscar Academy Awards.
“Angel Face”, a film invested and co-produced by Vietnamese artist Ly Nha Ky, will vie for prize at the Cannes Film Festival which will take place in France from May 8-19.
