This year, the organization board interviewed 1,200 readers and consumers in the city such as trade centers, supermarkets, markets and airports to select 29 businesses for the award. Of these 23 brand names who have been voted for five to nine consecutive years received ‘Golden Brand Name’ prizes.

Dressing the ceremony Ms. Hong said despite of many difficulties, HCMC last year fulfilled most socio economic norms to reach 9.6 percent Gross Domestic Product growth, up 1.65 times over the country’s growth rate, compared to the same period. City's budget revenue was 11 percent above estimates.

These achievements comprised great contributions from the business community including those honored at the ceremony, she added.
