By July 13, 72 enterprises had received VND319 million from localities to pay housing rent support for 537 laborers following Decision No.08/2022 of the Prime Minister. It is expected that this week, districts will make payments to businesses whose applications are approved.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has just reported about giving financial support to members of its Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control from a fundraising campaign of the department, known as the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund. 

Mr. Do Thanh Van, Deputy Director of the Center of Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labor Market Information Ho Chi Minh City (Falmi), on October 4, said that HCMC's human resource demand in the fourth quarter of this year is about 44,000-57,000 workers.

Regarding support for freelance workers, so far, Thu Duc City and 19 districts in Ho Chi Minh City have given financial aids to more than 31,500 people, accounting for 14 percent of the total number of freelance workers, with an amount of nearly VND47.3 billion.
