Worse, 29 people succumbed to the fatal disease.
The Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) said that in the past week, the number of dengue fever cases decreased by 21.7 percent compared to the average of four weeks ago, but still higher than the same period in previous years. Worse, 29 people succumbed to the disease this year.
According to the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the year, the country has recorded nearly 260,000 cases of dengue fever and 102 deaths are attributed to dengue.
HCMC reported two more deaths due to dengue fever in Go Vap and Binh Tan districts, bringing its total number of confirmed dengue-related deaths to 13, the HCMC Center for Disease Control (HCDC) announced on July 11.
