Vietnamese enterprises view Japan and South Korea as two traditional and potential export markets, but their share of exports to these markets remains relatively low.
According to Vietnamese trade counselors, in 2021, Vietnamese goods, in general, have a great opportunity to export to Europe, Northern Europe, the US, the Eurasian Economic Union, Japan, South Korea, and China.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the top five key export products, consisting of aquatic products, vegetables and fruits, wood products, footwear and textiles, will have opportunities to post strong growth thanks to the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement as the EU has pledged to reduce import tariffs for these five export products of Vietnam.
