Enterprises need to go green to maintain export

To limit the depletion of natural resources, environmental pollution, and the amount of generated waste, many countries around the world have introduced several trade barriers in order to realize a circular economy. Of which, many countries are currently the main export markets of Vietnam. This has forced Vietnamese enterprises to change to adapt and maintain export market share.

Safeguard measures narrow VN's steel export market

Vietnamese firms encounter numerous trade barriers in US market

There have been 120 trade remedy cases which are mainly antidumping and anti-subsidy against Vietnamese exports by the US, the EU, India, Turkey and Canada by March this year, of which, most lawsuits were initiated by the US then followed by other markets under domino effect.

Steel industry faces difficulties, challenges after heyday

After flourishing for a long time, steel manufacturers have been facing several difficulties and challenges as intensive investment has caused excess supply while competition in export of steel has become fiercer and fiercer due to booming trade barriers.
